2016 Amite River Backwater Flooding of Bayou Manchac

The figure below shows the measured water levels from USGS gages in Bayou Fountain, Bayou Manchac, Bluff Swamp, and Alligator Bayou starting from August 11, 2016 through October 3, 2016; cumulative precipitation in inches from August 11, 2016 from USGS stations at Babin Road in Duplessis, Bayou Fountain near Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge, and our NRP station off of HWY 74. The vertical dashed lines represent notable events, both natural and anthropogenic.

The legend for water elevation is in feet referenced to NAVD88 on the left axis and cumulative precipitation in inches on the right axis.
